Dusun Bambu, loosely translated to Bamboo Village is an eco-friendly leisure park in Bandung. It is a new tourism destination with an interesting array of restaurants and outdoor activities that’s great for families and friends.
Located in the north of Bandung, it takes about an hour by car to travel from the city centre. And if you are visiting in the later part of the year, you will get to enjoy the cooling weather with just the right amount of sunshine.
There are many restaurants that you can visit, some with a private hut overlooking the lake but take note of the operating hours as a few of them are open at noon.
As we were there quite early, we settled for the Pasar, which is the food market where you can choose from a wide selection of local Bandung street food. We ordered the Mie Kocok, which is a local noodle dish, Nasi Campur, which is rice with a mixture of side dishes and an Omelette with Fish Paste.
Take your time to explore the place. For city dwellers, it would be a great time to slow down your pace of life and hop on the sampan or a wooden raft and paddle away in the lake.
