Namdo Bunsik (남도분식), is the Korean comfort food specialist located in Seochon, nearby to the Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Although at first glance, it seems like the typical Korean fare, but take a closer look and you will find that each dish is a little bit unique. We have never come across a dish quite like the Fired Jajang Tteokbokki, which is tteokbokki (rice cake) cooked in jajang sauce with pork belly, sliced potatoes and fish cakes, topped with a sunny side up.
As jajang is more commonly eaten with ramen, it was quite refreshing to eat it this way. We also ordered the Healthy Bibimbap (vegetarian option available) that came with a Soy Bean Stew – except this one is pureed into more of a chowder consistency with chunks of lean pork in it.
This is Korean food reinvented and we think it is definitely worth the hype. Simply delish!
