The Palmary is a new restaurant and lounge housed within a vintage shophouse along Owen Road, offering modern contemporary food and drinks inspired by fusing the best of Local and European flavours.
Owned by the Food & Friendship Group, a bespoke canapés catering company, The Palmary, is the group’s first ever dining concept in Singapore. Besides being a no-frills and affordable option to dine out and unwind, the restaurant offers a respite from the hustle and bustle to reconnect back with the simplicities of life while at the same time, honouring the yesteryears and commendable occasions in peoples’ lives.
From leather chairs against the monochrome tiled bar and copper structures to the pearl white marble tables and trailing greenery, be greeted by bold lines of solid gold against concrete with its alluring juxtaposed beauty.
We got to try some of the chef’s recommendations such as The Butcher’s Cut, a hanger steak slow cooked for four hours then seared to perfection, and the Rendang Fries, a local twist on a popular deep-fried snack.
Seafood lovers would also be pleased to find some fresh catch on the menu such as Squid & Salsa, a perfect starter to whet up your appetite, and The Sea Bass, pan seared then drizzled with The Palmary’s tangerine halia sauce.
Finally, don’t forget to order one of their exclusive house cocktails or if you are up for it, try asking the bartender to bespoke one specially for you!
